Business Systems Technician

Status: Non-Exempt.  Part-Time or internship candidates preferred; full-time candidates may be considered
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; approximately 24 hours per week
                 (schedule and hours may be flexible within these parameters
Starting Wage: Starting at $18+/hour, depending on qualifications and relevant experience
Position Summary: This is an onsite position requiring regular in-office collaboration and support. Responsible for providing operational and technical support in the management, maintenance, and optimization of the company’s ERP and related systems.  This role focuses on data accuracy, system organization, documentation, user support, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives across multiple internal platforms.  Computer Science or equivalent background is required; strong analytical ability and willingness to learn are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining data integrity across NetSuite and other internal business systems, including customer, item, and transaction records.
  • Support data cleanup initiatives, record updates, and validation processes.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of saved searches, reports, forms, and dashboards.
  • Document processes, system configurations, and internal procedures.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for internal users by gathering information and helping identify root causes.
  • Assist in testing system enhancements, workflows, and automation changes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments (Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, Operations) to gather requirements and clarify system needs.
  • Organize and maintain internal systems documentation, process guides, and reference materials.
  • Assist with user account setup, permissions, and system access requests.
  • Support integrations and data flow between business systems.
  • Assist with CSV imports and bulk data updates.
  • Support ongoing system improvement projects and special assignments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Relationships and Scope: The Business Systems Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Business Systems Administrator and the IT department, and have regular interaction with Accounting, Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Marketing, and other internal departments. The role will require collaboration, communication, and professional interaction with employees across the organization. All requirements are subject to change over time at the discretion of management.

  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance in accordance with company policy.

Education Level:
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school with coursework in business, information systems, accounting, computer science, or a related field preferred. College students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Relevant work experience in administrative support, data management, web development or technical environments may substitute for formal education. 


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and structured information.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with a variety of personalities and communication styles.
  • Ability to learn technical systems quickly.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively.
  • Receptive to direct feedback.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with formulas and basic data manipulation preferred.
  • General understanding of business processes (sales, purchasing, accounting, inventory) or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.


Working Conditions: Work is normally performed in a typical interior office environment; regular onsite attendance during scheduled business hours is an essential function of this position.  Typical business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.  and may vary depending on the needs of the business, special projects, events, deadlines, outages etc.   Limited physical effort required.  Very limited exposure to physical risk.  Casual to professional attire as outlined by company policy.  Regular movement throughout a multi-level building without elevator access, including use of stairs and periodic travel between office and warehouse locations, is an essential function of this position.
