Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Reports to: Financial Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (some flexibility)
Base Rate: $16/hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for daily banking and assisting teammates in the Accounting Department, and regularly working directly with the Financial Manager.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for daily banking and assisting teammates in the Accounting Department, and regularly working directly with the Financial Manager.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare daily cash deposits; record deposits into NetSuite.
- Scan check deposits to bank.
- Assist and provide backup to Accounts Receivable Specialist and Accounts Payable Specialist.
- Learn all of the day-to-day functions of the Accounting Department.
- Update documentation in our Accounting procedures manual.
- Maintain weekly and monthly reports.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Work Relationships and Scope
The Accounting Specialist will have regular interactions within the Finance Department. Must provide accurate and efficient recording of all funds. Work closely with office and administrative personnel regarding daily activities. All requirements are subject to change over time at the discretion of management.

- Accurate recording and reporting of daily receipts.
- Regular and consistent attendance in accordance with company policy.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to maintain, in strictest confidence, information received concerning confidential matters, as well as displaying a high degree of professionalism.
- Proficient in using standard office computer software (such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word), as well as the Internet.
- Ability to resolve discrepancies.
- Familiar with the operation of normal office equipment, including: scanner, printer, copier, and 10-key.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and accounting principals.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks effectively and efficiently.
