Job Title: Administrative Support - Purchasing Reports To: Purchasing Manager Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5pm. Starting Wage: $15/hour Responsible for performing a variety of data entry, reports, and office duties, within prescribed office procedures. Works with all departments in the company.
Responsibilities
Performs data entry, data retrieval, and data verification from a variety of documents using a computer. Includes: entering purchase orders, verifying pricing on purchase orders, new item creation, and pricing
Compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be entered.
Computes, records, and proofreads data and other information, such as records or reports.
Responsible for running a variety of month-end and weekly reports, as assigned.
Support Purchasing team as needed.
Work Relationships and Scope The Administrative Support position will have regular interactions with Purchasing Department, the Accounts Payable Clerk, and other office staff. All requirements are subject to change over time at the discretion of management.

Education Level Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school, technical and/or college course work related to the job duties and knowledge/skills required for the position. Clerical/data entry work experience may substitute for required college or technical course work. Develop skills as required by the company.

Knowledge of administrative, office, and data entry procedures and practices.
Strong math ability.
Ability to maintain, in strictest confidence, information received concerning confidential matters, as well as a high degree of professionalism.

Proficiency in using standard office computer software (such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word), and proficiency using email and Internet.

Ability to learn & utilize new technology as it becomes available with new computer software opportunities.
Telephone techniques and etiquette.
Ability to stay focused and concentrates in close quarters with normal distractions and without distracting others.
Effectively perform in a fast-paced environment, handling several projects at once while meeting all assigned deadlines.
Working Conditions Work is normally performed in a typical interior office environment. Conditions include working alone and working closely with others. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours. There will be some variation in work hours due to employee shift schedules, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns. Limited physical effort required. Very limited exposure to physical risk. Casual attire. Please note: this position is located on the 3rd floor of a building that is not accessible by elevator or ramp.
