JOB TITLE: IFD STORE RUNNER / MATERIAL HANDLER SUPPORT SCHEDULE: Full time; availability for this position is between 6 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and 5 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday (rotate weekend shifts) WAGE: $16.00/hour, plus $1/hour Attendance Incentive
Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining a high standard in taking care of customer's needs, both in person and on the phone. This position works directly with the customers, FSC's, ISR's, Sales Force, and Warehouse personnel in a store setting.
principal duties and responsibilities
Assist customer by answering questions, giving them direction or advice in person or on the phone and taking product orders.
Keep the store fully stocked, labeled, and rotated.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Take special orders and follow through to completion with the customer.
Maintain a clean, dusted, and well-organized store.
Keep register area organized and supplied: bags, boxes, register tape, cash on hand, etc.
Communicate any problems or concerns to the store manager.
Assist in the overall operation of the store to insure a comfortable, professional atmosphere for our customers.
Help customers carry purchases to their vehicles.
Go to warehouse to get product that is not available in the store.
Back up to other duties as directed.
Conduct yourself in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
Take direction from supervisors and complete tasks on time.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: The Store Runner must possess the following:
Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. to all levels; ability to stand for extended periods of time; ability to carry and transfer products; ability to use a two-wheeled hand truck or four-wheeled cart; ability to bend, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach; ability to withstand occasional temperature variations (freezer).
Average or better math skills.
Good verbal and written communication, including verbal & written English fluency.
Ability to use a computer, cash register, and make accurate change for customers.
An ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people, including difficult ones.
Be calm in nature under time pressure and stress.
Complete tasks accurately and quickly.
Must participate in and pass fork-lift certification training.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Working Conditions: Time will be split between the Store and Warehouse. The position requires entering multiple coolers and walk-in freezer for short periods of time; appropriate attire is required. Pre-employment background check (criminal and MVR) and drug panel are required.
