Job Title: Store Runner Reports to: Market Store Manager Shift/Hours: Full time; available Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and Saturday 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. (rotating weekend shift) Wage: $16.00/hour Now offering an Attendance Incentive of an additional $1/hour! ***Walkie Rider Experience and Valid Driver's License Required***
Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining a high standard in taking care of customer's needs, both in person and on the phone. This position works directly with the customers, FSC's, ISR's, Sales Force, and Warehouse personnel in a store setting.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist customer by answering questions, giving them direction or advice in person or on the phone and taking product orders.
Keep the store fully stocked, labeled, and rotated.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Take special orders and follow through to completion with the customer.
Maintain a clean, dusted, and well-organized store.
Keep register area organized and supplied: bags, boxes, register tape, cash on hand, etc.
Communicate any problems or concerns to the store manager.
Assist in the overall operation of the store to insure a comfortable, professional atmosphere for our customers.
Help customers carry purchases to their vehicles.
Go to warehouse to get product that is not available in the store.
Back up to other duties as directed.
Conduct yourself in a professional, courteous manner at all times.
Take direction from supervisors and complete tasks on time.
Performance Measures: Demonstrated contribution to a friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable store atmosphere. Job performance will be measured by store sales, profit margin, store cleanliness, organization, and an atmosphere which is friendly and professional. Although you are not solely responsible for these key areas of the store's success, you are however, expected to be an active team member in addressing them. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance in accordance with company policy.
Work Relationships and Scope: Service to all customers needs when they visit the store or call on the telephone. All requirements are subject to change over time at the discretion of management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
The Store Runner must possess the following:
Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 80 lbs to all levels; ability to stand for extended periods of time; ability to carry and transfer products; ability to use a two-wheeled hand truck or four-wheeled cart; ability to bend, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach; ability to withstand occasional temperature variations (freezer).
Average or better math skills.
Good verbal and written communication, including verbal & written English fluency.
Ability to use a computer, cash register, and make accurate change for customers.
An ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people, including difficult ones.
Be calm in nature under time pressure and stress.
Complete tasks accurately and quickly.
Must participate in and pass fork-lift certification training.
Working Conditions: The Market at IFD is usually maintained at average temperature, but the position requires entering multiple coolers and walk-in freezer for short periods of time. The store is generally clean, organized, and free flowing.
