Job Title: Mid-Shift Restocker - Freezer Reports to: Shipping Supervisor Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt Shift/Hours: Sunday through Thursday, 6 p.m. – 2:30 a.m./Done. Wage: $19.43/Hour; Time and a Half on Sunday Now offering an Attendance Incentive for an additional $3.78/hour
Position Summary: This position is responsible for the quality of IFD loads and fleet while in the yard. This includes backing trailers into doors to be loaded, parking trailers after they are loaded, hooking the tractor and trailers up correctly, and setting and monitoring the temperatures of the trailers to make sure IFD meets all food safety regulations.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety of IFD’s fleet and employees in the yard
Dropping and hooking tractors and trailers
Setting, assessing, and monitoring Thermo Kings
Backing trailers into doors to be loaded
Parking trailers in the yard when they are loaded
Sanitation as required
Assisting the shipping and mid-shift staff as needed
Security of tractor and trailers while in the yard
Performance Measures:
Zero accidents in the yard
All tractor/trailers are hooked up properly
Trailers are available in the doors as the loaders need them
All Thermo Kings are set properly
Monitoring trailer temperatures in the yard
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Basic math, reading, writing and verbal communication skills
Forklift certification
Lift 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally
Ability to do 12 or more drop and hooks in a night
Excellent attendance/reliability
Working Conditions: Work is performed in the warehouse and on the grounds of IFD in all weather conditions. Appropriate attire is required.
Work Relationships and Scope: This person reports to the shipping supervisor and assistant shipping supervisor and works closely with the loaders to know what they need in the door next and what is done and ready to be pulled. IFD Drivers are the internal customers of the shipping yard operator.
